2009 Friends of the Arboretum Photography Contest

The Friends of the Arboretum (Friends) are pleased to announce the winners of their recent photography contest.  More than 54 creative photographs were entered by contestants of all ages and these submissions well proved the beauty and diversity that is in Wood County.  Children, as well as professional and amateur adults, submitted electronic images of flowers, native plants, landmarks, architectural elements, and landscapes.

The winners for the adult amateur class are: first place, Cindi Thomas; second place, Jim Willis; third place, Cindi Thomas; and Honorable Mention, Lisa Hilbers.  The adult professional winner is Molly Murphy.  Student Junior Division winners are: first and second place, Kelly Murphy; and third place, Kirby Galloway. First place prize winners in each class will receive a professionally printed 11X14 canvas of their original work, donated by jeb Originals in Winnsboro.  Second and third place winners will each receive a ribbon.
